Inherited Creative Talent
I inherited my creative talent from my father, Lee E. Tabor Sr., an artist in his own right. After becoming a single parent, my art was pushed to the side.
Years later, I stumbled upon a sketchpad. I realized that I had forgotten about a gift I once had, a gift that had been a part of me all along.
Encouraged by my grandchildren and inspired by what I found, my passion for art was reignited. Their curiosity helped me reconnect with something I had loved and forgotten.

Who Am I
I enjoy painting on silk for framed art and one-of-a-kind silk wearables, as well as Canvas. I completed the silk art painting courses at the Harmony Hall regional center in Fort Washington, Maryland.
I also studied silk painting under the teaching of Diane Tuckman, an artist who was born in Egypt. I love learning new techniques, hosting paint-on-silk parties, demonstrating easy and fun ways to paint on silk, and teaching beginners silk painting.
Inspired by Trees
Terry finds endless inspiration in trees, often seeing reflections of people and stories within their forms. Her art beautifully captures these visions inspired by scripture:
“he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of living water and whatever he does shall prosper.” - Psalms 1:3
I believe that trees speak to us if we take the time to listen. Look closely at their shapes and feel the spirit’s presence. Each tree is unique with its own silent message to share.
